Welcome to the Graduate Program
in Rehabilitation Science at Duquesne University. We
are delighted that you are interested in our program
and believe as you peruse the information on this site
you will find the program to be compelling and unique.
The Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Science in the
John G. Rangos, Sr. School of Health Sciences is designed
to produce future faculty
members for schools of health and rehabilitation science.
Through realistic professional introspection, we designed
this program to prepare graduates for careers as academicians.
Accordingly, our graduates
will be precise, clear thinking scholars, who can conceive
of and implement research agendas that extend the body
of knowledge in fields related to rehabilitation science.
In addition, our graduates will leave this program as
skilled educators, capable of designing and delivering
those courses that form the foundation of practice in
rehabilitation science related professions. Mastery
of these two skills, scholarship and pedagogy, is supported
by first broad and then discipline-specific education
in the practices that undergird rehabilitation science.
Finally, like all programs at
Duquesne University, this program is delivered by exceptional
faculty who are dedicated to education for the mind,
heart and soul. If you have questions about our program,
please do not hesitate to contact us. We will be delighted
to answer your questions and share our passion for graduate
education. Once again, welcome to the Graduate Program
in Rehabilitation Science.
