Program Goal

The goal of the graduate program in rehabilitation science is to prepare graduates for a career in academics. Specifically, the program will produce excellent researchers and teachers who can succeed in the unique, eclectic environment present in schools of health or rehabilitation science. The program is designed to provide a broad education in pedagogy, health and rehabilitation science, and research design that is consistent with the multi-disciplinary nature of rehabilitation science. Upon this multi-disciplinary foundation, graduates will develop an area of teaching and research expertise that will enable them to compete effectively for professional faculty positions in schools of health or rehabilitation science.
