Accreditation

The Duquesne University Physician Assistant Program is a five-year entry-level Master's degree program leading to a Master's in Physician Assistant (MPA) degree. Initially accredited in October 1993 by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP), the PA Program has been re-accredited by CAAHEP in 1996, and by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) in 1999 and 2003. Following an onsite visit in 2007 the Program has been awarded ongoing accreditation throughout 1012. The process of accreditation assures the public that the program meets or exceeds standards for quality education set forth by the ARC-PA.
