Welcome to the John G. Rangos Sr. School of Health Sciences at Duquesne University!

We are proud of our commitment to health professions education begun over a decade ago. The Rangos School is the academic home to programs in Athletic Training (B.S.), Health Management Systems (B.S., M.H.M.S.), Occupational Therapy (M.S.O.T.), Physical Therapy (DPT), Physician Assistant (M.P.A.), Speech-Language Pathology (M.S.), and Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science. Our programs emphasize the scientific and interpersonal aspects of clinical practice and typify teamwork and collaboration among the various health professionals in the modern American healthcare environment. Students in the Rangos School are challenged with contemporary curricula, clinically-skilled, nationally-known faculty, master their clinical skills in state-of-the-industry laboratories, and have varied and excellent internship/clinical placements. Faculty are contemporary clinicians actively engaged in clinical practice who serve as national accreditation site reviewers in almost every discipline. All of the programs housed in the Rangos School are fully accredited. Graduates are rewarded with a 99% placement rate in all majors.

The Rangos School is one of the largest of its kind in the nation with over 60 full-time faculty and staff and approximately 800 students enrolled in our programs. We offer freshmen admission to each of our programs. The academic programs housed here represent some of the fastest growing occupations in the country. The Pittsburgh area provides a wealth of excellent hands-on experience for all of our students. The healthcare community of western Pennsylvania provides a premium experience for our clinical practice professions students along with administration and management students. The Rangos School prides itself on the diverse, high-quality internship opportunities available to students in every discipline. You are invited to use these pages to become better acquainted with the Rangos School of Health Sciences.
