Areas of Academic Specialty:
Areas of interest include communication disorders that result from neurological impairment in the adult population, as well as pediatric fluency and phonology.

Awards and Accomplishments:
Served as the Vice president of Programs for the South Western Pennsylvania Speech Language and Hearing Association from 2000 to 2002. Also served as a committee chair for the Pennsylvania Speech Language and Hearing Association in 2002.


Professional Narrative:
Mrs. Caterina Staltari is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology. She received her master's and bachelor's degrees in Communication Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Staltari has been a practicing clinician in the field of speech-language pathology for 19 years, working with both pediatric and adult populations. At Duquesne University she provides clinical instruction to students working with clients who have speech, language and cognitive deficits as a result of neurological impairment, fluency disorder or phonological impairment. In addition to clinic instruction, Mrs. Staltari teaches the Speech-Language Pathology Seminar course, a graduate course which addresses professional issues in speech pathology as well as the pre-professional course, Introduction to Observation and Clinical Procedures. Mrs. Staltari also serves as the faculty advisor to the Duquesne University chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA) .
