Professional Narrative:
As an educator, I believe that knowledge is something to be jointly constructed between the teacher and the students.  One of my primary tasks is to create a learning context where students can develop competencies and talents.  I also believe that education is a social process that can only occur through interpersonal interactions.  I believe that students and I are responsible for the learning dynamic that is created in the classroom.  I strive to create an interpersonal climate in the classroom that supports cooperation, scholarly discussion, constructive debate and commitment to every person's learning.
