Professional Narrative:
I am originally from Buffalo New York and received my bachelor degree from S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse in 1991. My full time clinical work experience includes four years at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center in Pittsburgh from June 1991- November 1995. This was followed by eight years at the UPMC/CRS Center for Sports Medicine from December 1995 - July 2003. I continue to treat patients eight hours a week at the Sports Medicine center. My doctoral degree was completed in June 2003 at the University of Pittsburgh and pertained to the development of an outcome instrument for the foot and ankle, “Foot and Ankle Ability Measure (FAAM)”. My other research interests, publications and presentations have been in foot and ankle related areas including projects on plantar fasciitis, the diabetic foot, and ankle replacement. One of my current projects involves the development of an outcome instrument for the hip.
