240 Health Sciences Building
This laboratory is large, and furnished to support
flexibility in its use. The main work area is
furnished with moveable tables and chairs and
a dry erase white-board. An adjacent open area
contains a fold down mat and sensory integration
treatment equipment. The lab contains a full kitchen,
separate bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom is
equipped with a variety of adaptive devices, and
windows have been cut into two of the walls to
facilitate its use as a teaching facility. The
bedroom contains a Murphy bed and two large storage
cabinets full of adaptive devices for feeding,
hygiene, dressing and communication. The remainder
of the lab is taken up by a separate laundry area,
a small activity area with sink and plaster trap,
and two very large storage closets. While this
space is sometimes used for didactic courses,
its primary use is for laboratory activities and
pre-arranged, student small group studying.
